Kayak fishing tournament to be benefit Susan G Komen scheduled April 15th

The Susan G Komen Fish for the Cure kayak river fishing tournament will be held on Saturday April 15th. Signups for the tournament will begin at 5:15 a.m. at the Outdoor Experience at 124 E Broad Street in Cookeville, Tennessee. Participants can fish in the river of their choice within a 70-mile radius of the Outdoor Experience. All fishing enthusiasts with man powered kayaks or canoes are invited to participate. Limit one person per vessel. The tournament entry fee is $25 with an optional $5 buy in for the Big Bass Competition. The tournament will wrap up with check-in at 3:00 p.m. at The Outdoor Experience. Participants will be entered to win prizes including: a Jackson Big Tuna Kayak, Orion Cooler, Orca Cooler, YakAttack gear, Anchor Wizard, Bending Branches Paddle, Kayak Carts and more.

The public can also participate in the fundraiser. From April 1st through April 15th, anyone who makes a $10 donation to Susan G Komen at the Outdoor Experience, will receive a chance to win a Jackson Big Tuna Kayak. The winner will be announced at weigh-in of the tournament on April 15th.
