As we enter the Easter/Passover season, we would like to wish you the best of this season. Our office will be closed on Friday, April 14 & Saturday April 15. We will be back in on Monday morning April 17th to serve you! Pier 42 Restaurant re-opens for the season this evening. Check their hours, etc. here. The Byrdstown Senior Center will have their annual Fashion Show tomorrow morning beginning at 11AM. Admission will be $3 for those over 10 years of age. They will also have food available for sale. Tomorrow from 1-4PM is the 1st Annual Walk By Faith Prom Closet at the Ag Building. Details to the left or here. If you know someone that needs to know, please share! Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park has several events coming up, please check the box to the left.
Live Music tonight at the Dixie Cafe and tomorrow night there and at the Country Kitchen. Plenty of good food at area restaurants. Pick your favorite and give them a call to see what is "special" when you are hungry! (Or see the list here.)
The USAA BASSIN, LUCAS OIL & CABINS AT DALE HOLLOW OPEN is this weekend! Registration is Saturday evening at Star Point Resort with the fishing taking place on Sunday.
Byrdstown First United Methodist Church will be having a Seder/Passover Dinner for Holy Thursday on April 13th. Details here.
REMINDERS: If you you plan to raise chickens this year and need babies, Country Farm and Home Center is taking orders! April 21st is CHICK DAY 2017. Tax season is almost over! Don't forget that Gibson Tax Service is located right here in Byrdstown and James F. Scarlett, C.P.A. is located in nearby Livingston, ready to serve your needs.

Below is a list of our Chamber members (brief) with a little bit of information about many. Links to their websites and contact information can be found on the www.dalehollow.com website. Lots of great people and places that would welcome your patronage. We have the current Visitors Guide to Dale Hollow Lake published by the Dale Hollow Lake Marinas Association AND the Upper Cumberland Tourism Guide, plus the Tennessee and the Kentucky Visitors Guides and maps. Come see what all there is to see and do in our own back door!
The Pickett County Library is great free resource anytime of year. They have loads of books, videos, cd's, and so much more. Their Genealogy Room is also a good place to go and get to know where you came from. If it weren't for our ancestors' hard work, we wouldn't enjoy the life we have today. The Cordell Hull Birthplace & Museum State Park has a fantastic exhibit as well as a very nice trail to be enjoyed year round.
If you are planning to be married on Dale Hollow Lake, remember Destination Weddings of Dale Hollow Lake can make life much simpler. Angie can help put together a package just right for you.
If you are looking for places to shop, remember our local stores. Drop by see what all they have to offer - after all, you will save time by not driving so far to browse. This is a brief list of our Chamber Member businesses at this time that offer shopping. Sells Family Store, Ma & Pa's Gift Shack, April's Flowers & Gifts, Country Farm & Home Center, Davidson's Discount Drugs, Garrett's Drug Center, and Walk by Faith Ministries Thrift Shop have some wonderful items to browse/purchase besides the obvious items. Spend the afternoon at York Country Store, or Moodyville Cash Store for more shopping fun - outdoors-persons - lots of items in Moodyville of interest to you! Come sit for a spell on the porch at Gunnels Fishing Camp, but don't forget Pryor's Auto Spot and McCurdy Computers for their specialty items - as well as the convenience stores and marinas. They each have some interesting merchandise too! Plus, there are numerous other stores throughout the area. Hwy. 111 Wine & Spirits and The Whistle Stop also invite you to come by.
